The Value of a Penny

You know, they say a penny isn't worth much, but have you ever had a really miserable day and been walking along and find a penny on the ground (heads up or course, tails up is bad luck!) It kinda makes ya feel better and maybe a little more hopeful. How much is That worth? Quite a bit, I would say.

So next time you have a penny burning a hole in your pocket, toss it on the ground and brighten someones day!

"Your not worth A ten cents"? LOL Jill, that ain't even good English! I think the term you're looking for is "plugged nickel": You're not worth a plugged nickel!

A plugged nickel (which is commonly misheard as plumb nickel -or at least it is to me, and that's probably because the only time I hear that phrase it's from some old fart with bad dentures) was a nickel made of useless metal and was merely nickel plated. Worthless. They were used at some point in our history, but I can't remember exactly when. Probably during the depression.

Oh h*ll yeah! We are just chocked full of useless facts that aren't worth a red cent, here!

But hey, I appreciate the thought! Dimes work for me ;o)
