The Ten Things You Can't Say In America

By Larry Elder... Read it! It amazes me that even though he wrote this years ago, it still applies in so many ways.

Thought of the Day:
Men don't win because they're right, they win because they're so fucking persistent.

If I Could Be An Animal For the Day:
I would be a geico, because they have the funniest commercials. Or maybe a brown bear... I’m having a bad diet day.

That was funny. I want to be a brown bear today too.

Do you listen to Larry Elder? I called in to his show once and said something stupid cause I was nervous!

I've visited his site a couple of times, but I always seem to miss his talk show, Barbara.

I was kinda hoping to hear from someone who knows more about him, (like, both sides of the coin kinda thing.) I loved the book and I've heard reference to him several times, but I wonder if he is as great as I've heard.

Do you remember what you said?

I'm happy that you read the book, RT. It's great. I'm about 2 books from reading his other book, Showdown: Confronting Bias, Lies And The Special Interests Dividing America. I listen to his show while driving to work (between 4pm to 4:40pm.) I don't always agree with him (like his feeling that collegiate athletes should be paid) but it's a rare circumstance. Color me impressed that you picked up the book. What made you do it?

Well... I was at the library and saw the title, it caught my attention so I looked at the author, I've heard his name before so I picked it up :o)

Amazing how these things work out, don'cha think?

As far as athletes go, I think they're ALL paid more than they should be, so...
