Whoa!

I just realized how long it's been since I last posted! You would think that with me being out of work and spending a majority of my time on the internet, that I would have more things to say. Which is true, but unfortunately, I can't type that fast! There's a billion things going through my mind: conversations that haven't been properly formed, projects that need tending to, work that needs to be done around the house... It's maddening!

I guess the best place to start is telling about another TSO concert that I got to go to, thanks to Jill! It was an extra special treat and one that will be remembered for a long time because it was so much more than a concert, it was an adventure! Because we had nosebleed seats, we spent most of our time in doorways closer to the stage, trying to dodge security. And taking pictures? Well, that was an art all to itself! An art that I, unfortunately, still have yet to perfect! (Crappy pics to follow later.)

Other than that;

Plans are in the works for another trip to NYC! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about it! (And in case you haven't heard about my other trip, you can read about it at: http://www.geocities.com/rumpleteazer32/scrapbook/nyc1.html .) I'm so excited that I want to unbury my car from the snow and leave NOW, even though I know it's not possible.

I started watching a new (or at least, new to me) show on HBO that I find oddly interesting called Carnivale. It's still a little confusing, but I think I'm getting the gist of it.

Umm...

Did I mention the snow??? We had a major storm last night that dumped at least a foot of snow on us! I spent most of my morning fighting through it, trying to get enough antifreeze in my cars to (hopefully) keep the blocks from freezing...

Got all my Christmas shopping done, which I'm sure you could care less about...

Got a canvas that's Begging for attention, which again, I'm sure you could care less about...

Got a part time job, but because of the snow, I've only been able to work one day...

Other than that, my life is pretty much boring at this point, but I try to put an interesting twist on it, if only to amuse myself!

Please Bare With Me!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Concert!

What can I say? I'm still floating! I love these guys almost as much as I love life itself! There were a couple of awkward moments during the meet-and-greet, but all in all, it was a fabulous show!

More to come...

My Favorite Photographer

Although she doesn't think she's worth her salt, I have to say that Jill is one of my favorite photographers EVER!

All I have to say is; Girlfriend, whether you want it or not, you're in league with Michael Parkes, Michael Crawford, Stephen King, and Vincent Price. Deal with it.

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends...

Ah! Lots of helpful words!

See?

That’s why I love the internet!

Seriously, thank you guys, your advice is doing me some good.

I actually feel a little better today. I think I’m finally starting to unwind. It amazes me that most jobs only give a weeks vacation per year (or at a time, if that.) It’s taken me almost that long just to relax and enjoy a day. I can understand now why so many people have a hard time "finding" themselves. Hell, with all the needless responsibilities we put on ourselves, it’s no wonder we speed through life without realizing a single dream.

Of course, having a few job offers doesn’t hurt either. Kinda helps stroke the ego, if you know what I mean. But we’ll get into the usefulness of that more at a later time...

In Other News! (This is where I ramble... As I love to do!)

I went Christmas shopping the other day, so now I don’t feel like such a slug for being out of work during the holidays (more materialism, I know. But still...) And I put up the Christmas tree.

In between clearing out the study and waiting for the cable guy, I also worked on a painting that I’ve been working on for weeks now. I had it pretty far along before I realized I didn’t like the colors I used. Go figure. So now I’m doing it again in blue tones. I don’t know what it is about blue, I just find it so soothing. I love blue. Maybe it’s because my aura is red and white? :o)

Oh! I also started digging up all my camping gear! That alone made me feel a tons better. I still have a lot to do, but after compiling a list of stuff I might need from internet camping sites, I feel confident that I can pack my car with the equipment to sufficiently and efficiently sustain me for a couple of weeks of "country livin’". Funny how all of my years of camping experience only taught me to make sure I remembered the can opener and something to get the cork out of the wine bottle.

Thought For The Day:
I saw a commercial today that had nothing but blond haired people in it. An entire world with nothing but blondes... I don’t know what they were selling, but just seeing everyone looking the same was pretty scary.

Quote of the Day:
An artist need only be an artist in his or her own mind to create something beautiful. - L.T.

If I Could Be An Animal For the Day:
I would be a bird... Doesn’t matter what kind of bird as long as it can fly. (I had a really weird dream last night. Don’t ask.)
