Arrrgh! This canvas is driving me crazy! I know it has at least 10 layers of paint on it, but I still can’t get the right colors! Not only that, but the cat just spit on me and now I have these nasty red hives up an down my arm! Will the tortures never cease???

A Question to the Masses, and Myself...

I’ve been thinking, especially here lately, about my life. I’ve always lived my life by being cautious of other people’s mistakes, but I’m beginning to wonder, what about my own mistakes? Have I been so careful not to make a mistake, that other than live and learn, I’ve just learned without living?

"Live life spiritually, live in many different directions."

I’ve done that, through many different outlets, but now I wonder if direction could have led me on a better path to success... But, we are only on this earth for a short time (and mine is probably better than halfway through,) what is more important? Life. Or success?

We've been kidding around on Matty's blog about wayward cows, so when I heard tonight on the news that yet another cow has escaped captivity, I wasn't very surprised. This seems to be a epidemic that is spreading nationwide.

I know we’ve all heard about the Terri Schiavo case, so now I’m wondering... What do you guys think? If not her, who should have the right to decide her fate? They’ve shown that the husband may have ulterior motives to end her life, and I think it’s pretty obvious that the parents just want her to be around for them, not her. And if let the courts and the govt. make this decision, how far will they go with this?

If you ask me, I think it’s all a big mess! But, all the politics aside, I have to say that this whole situation is just disgusting the hell out of me! Whether they decide to let her live or die, the method they’re using is just wrong. How do you, in good conscious, let someone starve to death??? How do say that she’s in no pain? You can’t know that beyond a shadow of a doubt. Even a convicted felon has better treatment. If they’re so sure that Terri won’t be able to eat on her own, why do they have her so heavily guarded? Why won’t they let her at least try?

This is killing me!

How sad is this?

I was planning a trip to NYC for the end of April, but I just found out that a family vacation to Myrtle Beach is planned for the same week! I would really like to do both, and it's possible to do both, if I fly from one to the other, but... OK. Here's the thing...

I'm currently trying to loss weight for my NYC trip (God knows, if you weigh more than ten pounds, you're unattractive in NYC, and there is a guy there that I Reeeeeally want to attract!) But! This is a totally unrealistic weight in the normal world! If I'm showing off my NYC body in MB, I'm afraid it'll just gross out any guy I might normally be able to attract!

What the hell do I do??? Be a toothpick for NYC guy? Or be "plump" (har har) for whatever (totally cool) guy I may meet in MB??? Or just cancel one of the vacations???

Just a Little Shout Out to...

My two bestest brother-in-laws... And my two very smart sisters! I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but my younger sister recently got married and I have to say, her choice was damn fine! This guy, like my other brother-in-law is such a sweetheart! Even though my mother and I are the unwed spinsters, they both treat us like queens. And that’s a nice feeling to have after being beaten down by years of bad dating.

It goes without saying (although I think I just did,) I am so proud of my sisters and the men they’ve chosen. I can only hope that I will someday find someone so good. :o)
